Donald Trump returned to Washington D.C. on Sunday night after spending the weekend at his golf resort in Bedminster, New Jersey. Once he landed on Air Force One, however, something happened that left many puzzled.
The Gateway Pundit reported that Trump mysteriously delayed deplaning from Air Force One for forty-five minutes after arriving at Joint Base Andrews at 8:40pm. Though the mobile staircase had been rolled up to the plane for Trump to walk down, the doors remained closed until 9:25pm, and reporters were left in the dark as to why this was.
Senior Trump aide and son-in-law Jared Kushner left Air Force One and returned twice before the president himself got off the plane. He told reporters that Trump was “just working on something,” and a senior White House official later added that the president was holding a meeting but did not explain further.
Trump appeared serious and tired as he finally got off the plane.
